Lisbon is a fabulous city to visit all year round. The summer months can get very, very hot, so they’re great for sun-worshippers and those that like the tourist buzz, while the spring and autumn months are cooler, but better for exploring the hilly city on foot. Hotel prices are cheaper between March and May and in September and October.

Avoid the crowds

To avoid the packed crowds try visiting Lisbon between March and May and September and October. The weather is still lovely, but you won’t have so much trouble getting a table for dinner or battling your way through throngs of people in the squares. It’s still a great time to enjoy the beaches, too.
